Unconditional Trust

If you ask yourself honestly
Who do you trust the most
Yourself, the other or Nature
What would be your answer?
It seems like a simple inquiry
But, trust me it's not that easy
It's situational and contextual
May you say, but think deeper.
There is a basic architecture
A scheme of how trust works
How exactly does your inner code
Create the proper sense of safety?
Let's start by exploring the options
Unconditional trust in your own self
What does this concept even mean?
How can we recognize its frequency?
Is this about self-confidence?
Is it about the proper inner knowing?
Is it about the experienced wisdom?
Is it about the narcissistic naiveness?
Is it about the "fake it until you make it"?
Is it about the arrogance of naked soul?
Is it about the perfectly safe childhood?
Or maybe, it's about the absence of it.
Remember when you were a child
Who was the biggest bully around?
Who trusted the most in their powers
Who was showing extreme self-trust?
Was that the child from the nice family
With super caring and present parents?
Or maybe they had no choice to abuse trust
Because they had no idea what real safety is.
Maybe it was their strategy to survive
To have any chance to protect the inside
Since they couldn't trust their caregivers
They needed to learn what self-trust is.
But, how do you actually learn this
How do you build confidence in you
If you are still a child without example
Of how to be trusted and how to trust.
Does the school teach you this power
To trust unconditionally who you are
Do your teachers encourage you kindly
To believe in yourself no matter what?
Do they create a healthy environment
Where you can feel safe to be authentic
Can you honestly say that our children
Are learning the proper self-trust there?
If your answer is no for the school
If caregivers are not that safe to the kid
Where and how do you want them to learn
How to trust their inner power and essence?
Do you understand that a suffering child
Must trust himself to be able to survive
This innate ability is sometimes very fragile
It is very easy to destroy their self-confidence.
If the abuse and violence are the only way
They have learned to experience connection
They will have many chances to be angry
At the entire world for no particular reason.
For someone to develop a healthy inner trust
In their own capacities and personal power
They must have some exterior guidance
Be in environments where it's practiced.
If the only safe place to be themselves
Are some virtual platforms on Internet
And if this is where they learn how to be
Don't be surprised of what they become.
Safety and trust walk usually hand in hand
Each generation learns from what came before
The child who feels secure to be themselves
Is the wise adult who can later trust others too.
A wounded builds walls instead of bridges
While the nurtured heart seeks the connection
Our capacity to trust beyond our deepest fears
Is born from the safety we felt with others.
…
The second type of trust is in the other
Some people trust themselves too much
But, they think that every human around
Must be a hidden criminal or psychopath.
They have the chronic distrust in people
They have been deceived so many times
They have been betrayed with cruel love
By those they probably trusted the most.
Everything outside usual feels like a danger
Especially people who seem to pretend
To be very trustworthy and super loving
While openly dreaming to abuse your soul.
Humans are cruel, this is not a surprise.
They have invented so many strategies
To lie, deceive so skillfully even themselves
Of how competitive our human nature is.
We have created the entire system
Based on the premise of innate distrust
The "danger" hiding in the ego of other
Is the main economic driver in our world.
So many useless things would never exist
If only we had the courage and some desire
To maybe learn how to better trust each other
Instead of investing in the safety & security.
Imagine if you could trust our dear humanity
If you knew for sure we are all doing our best
What if each of us wants authentic peace
What if we prefer the trust instead of fear?
So, if we all have the same values, virtues
If we all share the same deeper yearnings
Why do we keep believing others are cruel
Why do we prefer protection over the trust?
We've forgotten how to wait for trust to ripen
Expecting instant fruits from freshly turned earth
But the sweetest harvests come from patient care
From weathering storms and droughts together.
Do you think that learning how to trust
Will be more expensive than protection?
Do you think safety & security is cheaper
Than healing your heart to trust the other?
Imagine what you could accomplish here
If only you knew how to trust the humans
Imagine how much fun our reality would be
If you truly believed we are all trustworthy.
To trust everyone, you still need to be smart
Yes, all are trustworthy, but not in everything
We all have the limits to our current expertise
We all have fears and stuff we don't yet know.
To trust fully someone, they must be honest
Even if their honesty is saying "I am scared".
Trust in relationship is a two-way street always
The authenticity is a required ingredient for it.
If you aren't authentic, you cannot be trusted
It's a very simple rule to remember and learn
Even if your inner truth is uncomfortably scary
You are still better to be honest than to pretend.
Sincerity is potentially the best self-protection
I know it doesn't always look or seem that way
I guess it depends on what you are really scared of
Of confronting your fears or to remain in danger.
If you want to protect the ‘’system’’ and your job
You are right, being authentic is the worst strategy.
If you dare to be fully yourself, tell your inner truth
The entire artificial system might simply crumble.
But if your goal is to protect the Nature
The essence of what makes us human
If you want to protect and nourish Life
You might consider to be more honest.
You might invest to learn how to trust
You might fund peace instead of bombs
You might spend your time to share love
Instead of over-protecting your fears.
…
The third type of trust is about Nature.
Some people don't fear other humans
They think the Earth itself is their bully
She is the most scary and unpredictable.
Some people are scared of the forest
They see it as a wild, dangerous space
They are only safe inside their cold walls
Eating sterile factory manufactured food.
They fear less to eat man-made toxins
Than to learn what is growing around them
They are ok about investing in processed
But eating local natural food seems crazy.
They are ok to put their retirement money
To enlarge the castle of Kraft Dinner bosses
It apparently gives them a good, rich return
But, encouraging local farmers doesn't.
Some trust corruption more than Nature
And when I say some, I mean way too many
They trust the system of complete nonsense
More than the wisdom of what feeds them.
They are investing in geoengineering
They are funding the gene-modifications
They are growing bananas in greenhouses
They trust the science will maybe save them.
They don't seem to understand the full circle
How many natural, social and human resources
Have been abused, destroyed and simply wasted
For all that "research" to manipulate our Nature.
They are not scared to create a genocide
They are not scared to burn entire forests
They are not scared to pollute the oceans
But they are scared of Nature being mean.
The disconnect from the soil and land
The lack of collective trust in our Earth
The disrespect we show to our Nature
Are all contributing to our current issues.
If you need couple of mines and pipelines
To just ensure food provision to your people
You have a huge risky problem in your system
You fully depend on it to survive, not on Nature.
Do you realize that if there is no more Nature
Because we have abused her way too much
The ‘’system’’ probably also will die from hunger
Because it needs natural resources to survive.
Imagine you have a garden with some veggies
Suppose you consume half of what you produce
You have a choice where you sell your leftovers
In super clean biofuels or to feed someone else.
Do you understand that many "gardeners"
Prefer to sell the food to feed the airplanes
Some don't even care to destroy the soil
Because the system pays somehow "fairly".
Do you understand that we have such problems
Not because there is not enough food for all
But because we are already feeding the ‘’system’'
With most of our shared natural resources.
We have chosen national economic prosperity
Over local food security for our population
We invested our taxes and retirement plans
To enrich the engineers, to shame the farmers.
You trust more the scientists in the laboratory
Than the intelligence or wisdom of our Nature
You buy a rooftop tomato grown only with water
And, you call this the best way to eat "healthy".
You vote for politicians to fund new infrastructure
They don't care about if we really need it or not
They create more useless jobs and get more money
When you need industrial parks and cities to eat.
Of course, they will invest in innovative tomatoes
Of course, they will encourage or force you to buy it
Of course, they will make the process complicated
Because this way more people make some money.
Nobody seems to care or fully comprehend
That if we gave that money and empowerment
To our farmers and not to greedy businessmen
We would all live in abundance and peace now.
Nature can produce unlimited resources
But you need to respect her gifts and cycles
Feed the humans and animals before robots
Invest in natural before the high-tech miracles.
You panic now because some scientists
Are scared to lose their private villas
But you seem perfectly calm and fine
Knowing Nature is dying to "fund" them.
You seem to believe it's perfectly normal
That your farmers, nurses and teachers
Are paid such ridiculously lower salaries
Than your smart scientists and engineers.
You think it's normal that AI and robots
Have literally no limits in public funding
But our human health and natural wealth
Apparently don't matter enough to pay for.
You think it's normal to live in modern world
Where children die from poverty and hunger
But instead of creating gardens to feed them
We invest in sophisticated chemical products.
We create corrupted jobs to make artificial food
We can feed poor with our toxic industrial waste
And, we can make even more money by doing so,
So, why would we stop or make it more coherent?
Some people seem to believe a very silly thing
They think if their food comes from the ‘’science’’
It must be safer, nicer, smarter or more healthy
Compared to what Nature already offers to us.
Where is this distrust in Life coming from?
Who told you, who lied to you so absurdly?
Who dared to make you believe so stupidly
That our Nature is dangerous to Humanity?
…
Do you understand the simple mathematics
You can very magically fix most of your problems
The moment you use your authentic, wild courage
To trust fully in yourself, the other and our Nature?
