Service & Creation

What do you want? Do you want to write? Or do you want to build a business?

I want both.

What wants exactly?

Surrender to the process, what does it mean?

What you are already doing. There is no specific point to surrender to. It’s a process. A forever unfolding process. You are in the process already.

Clarity comes through the process. Nothing is random; you already know this. Every small step gives you information. It provides you new choices. A new possibility for movement.

Not all of those choices are relevant for you, and it’s OK. The purpose of it is not for you to deal with it all. The purpose is to show you possibilities, the landscape, to show you the spectrum of the opportunity. What you do with it and how you dance is your art. It’s your choice. You mix it how you want. Go deep as you like. Go wild as you feel.

But go slowly. Enjoy the process. There is so much love woven into the field we share. There is so much magic to unfold. So much pleasure to experience. Enjoy every breath of it. Observe. Notice. Embrace yourself with the beauty of the existing creation.

Presence and movement are not contradictory.

Movement can be circular. It can be linear. It can be a combination of both. Movement can also be weird. It can seem random and chaotic, but with a deeper and bigger pattern involved. A coherent pattern that you simply are not able to see yet. And you might miss it if you go too fast. You might not notice it if you are not present to what is. You might not see it if you don’t observe the unfolding creation of each one of your respirations.

How do I make it useful? How do I create value with my ‘writing’ for people? For the world? For the planet?

Why are you so obsessed about value? What does creating value even mean? Are you really responsible for the generated value for people of what you create?

How do these mechanisms work?

Do you actually care for real? Why are you so obsessed about the mechanics of how it works? What is the real "why" behind this curiosity?

This brings me to more uncomfortable parts. Questioning the value of service is not something I often contemplate. At least not to this depth.

What is 'service' anyway?

If I am not here to be in service, why am I here?

You do know that the original meaning of service is slavery, right?

No way. You are kidding. Nope, you are not. It is what it means.

Ouch. I need to breathe with this one.

...

This entire idea of being in service is related to the idea of slavery?

Yep!

It’s funny how it feels to breathe with this idea. It makes sense deeply and triggers the most rigid conditioning in my being at the same time. It makes me laugh. And at the same time, I feel stupid.

So, if not service, then what? There must be some sort of ‘polarity’ that makes sense? Right? It’s impossible to have so much confusion about a concept without a deeper truth to it.

Yes, you are right. There is. And this opposite is creation.

Real creation is already attuned to the needs of the collective field. There is no such thing as helping someone. The purpose is to create with such art that there is no ‘helping someone’ required.

A self-sufficient global community is where everyone creates what they are most passionate about, and life is magical enough that, as a result, everyone has their needs fulfilled in this setup.

Our creative energy comes from the field. Our inspiration and motivation come from there too. And the field already knows what is needed, how, where, and why. You cannot compete with this kind of intelligence. You cannot know the value of service better than the field can. You cannot plan, predict, organize, and control better than the field does.

The service comes from an idea of scarcity. And scarcity is not real.

Scarcity was created to make the idea of service ‘sellable’ enough. With no scarcity, there is no slavery.

Scarcity comes from the fact that we don’t know how to use our available resources efficiently.

Our problem is not the scarcity of resources. Our problem is our complete ignorance about how to use those resources and energy in an efficient and regenerating manner.

The actual resources that fuel human creativity are truly unlimited. If you learn to collect the energy from that fountain, you can literally materialize the unlimited potential into form.

If there is unlimited potential for creation available to all, there is no need for service.

Yeah, you already see where this is going. Another paradox. Yep. As per usual. Get used to it. Once you truly understand the difference between creation and ‘service,’ it will get even more fun and wild.

This is why pleasure is important. Pleasure is something that helps you learn the subtleties of the language of creation. Pleasure gives you the energy and the direction to create meaningfully. It helps you understand the dynamics of the creation process, not the mechanics of a service.

Do you feel the difference?

Service doesn’t require pleasure. But creation does.

If you are ashamed of pleasure, you can’t create. If you don’t create, you actually don’t really ‘serve’ anything and no one.

So, how the hell do I build a business that offers no service? My value is only in creation. What does this even mean?

Hahaha. You are finally starting to have some fun with paradoxes from what I sense.

You don’t build your business to be in service or to generate value for others.

You build a business to enable others to create directly from the shared field themselves. When they create truly and in coherence with themselves, the conversation about value becomes irrelevant.

You don’t generate value. Your clients do.

The value is an emerging property, not a goal. The value is the result of how efficient your creative process is. How much your services support people to access the unlimited potential, energy, and resources to create abundance themselves. And not to generate more scarcity with your silly idea of ‘being in a service for someone.’

And yes, you are right. This is hard. It is hard to sell something in a form that people are not used to. There are no management books or tested strategies to follow for this process to work.

The emergence is what it is. Unpredictable and out of your control.

Plus, people are scared to create truly and fully. This adds up to the challenge.

We prefer service to creation for a reason. We prefer the comfort of slavery to the freedom of the unknown also for a good reason. This is why it is also important to be sensitive and go slowly, gently, and with care on this path.

We are deeply formed into the idea of slavery. We are deeply conditioned to think that service is a good thing. It is what we were made to believe life is all about. We have created such a persistent belief about it that it almost sounds crazy to consider it to be foolish.

It runs so deeply in us. For so long. And so widely.

We can be slaves to many things.

To a job. To family. To love. To reason. To reality. And even to various forms of God.

We can fool ourselves into the idea that service heals scarcity. But it does not.

Creation does.

Creation generates the abundance that truly heals scarcity. Not the service.

And if we ever live in a world where the natural currency is creation and abundance, what would an idea of business value or a service even mean?

Probably nothing.

And that’s OK too.

...

Remember your breath and enjoy the ride.

Breathe in the pleasure.

Breathe out the creativity.

That’s it.
